TomoTherapy Incorporated Strengthens Global Technical Training Capabilities

Madison, WI - TomoTherapy Incorporated (Nasdaq: TTPY) announced today the opening of a multi-disciplinary, international Technical Training Center at company headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. Engineers, physicists, radiation therapists and dosimetrists are among the professionals receiving on-site, interactive training in classroom settings that duplicate equipment and conditions at TomoTherapy® Hi·Art® treatment system sites worldwide.

“The new center allows instruction, interaction and application in a setting dedicated solely to training,” said Abby Ngampongsai, the company’s Manager of Customer Training. “In a hospital or clinic, patients always come first. Here, technicians can learn new skills or engineers can break down a machine and practice troubleshooting without interrupting patient services.”

Among the first trainees were Field Service Engineers attending 10 weeks of hands-on classes. The “learn and do” training philosophy prepares the engineers, employed by TomoTherapy Inc., to maintain Hi·Art treatment systems in their home countries throughout Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America.

In addition to employee training, the Technical Training Center provides physicists, dosimetrists and radiation therapists from customer sites with the opportunity to create “live simulations” of treatment plans, system calibrations and radiation delivery.

TomoTherapy Incorporated Director of Organizational Development and Global Training Kelly Conway stated, “We have created a centralized, robust learning engine. Employees, customers and distributors each require a unique set of tools and information. Our classes equip them all with the knowledge they need, and complete the learning with hands-on application.”

The center will also offer training via distance learning formats, professional development training complete with Continuing Education Credits and short courses introducing physicians, physicists and other professionals to the science and technology behind the TomoTherapy Hi·Art treatment system.

In addition, on May 23, 2007, TomoTherapy Inc. will celebrate the beginning of a partnership with Antwerp University Radiotherapy Center, Belgium. This non-profit organization, jointly run by University Hospital Antwerp and the ZNA Middelheim Hospital, has installed two Hi·Art treatment systems and will serve as a regional satellite to the Madison Technical Training Center.
