TomoTherapy Incorporated Releases Hi·Art® Version 2.2.1
New Release Features Planned Adaptive Software
TomoTherapy Incorporated is pleased to announce the full release of Hi·Art Version 2.2.1. Featuring the all-new Planned Adaptive software option, this release marks a significant step forward for Adaptive Radiation Therapy (ART).
Planned Adaptive: True ART
True ART requires more than just accounting for anatomic movements by repositioning the patient. True ART demands clear analysis and precise adjustment of the treatment to account for changes over time—subtle changes in patient anatomy, as well as tumor size and location, that can have a significant impact on the delivered dose.
“Planned Adaptive software is real and is making a difference today.”
With Planned Adaptive, clinicians can—for the first time—perform highly efficient quantitative analysis and modification of a patient’s treatment at any point during the treatment course. Only the inherent integration of the Hi·Art System makes this clinically feasible:
- Our single database stores information from both planning and delivery, making it easy to create and utilize “hot” and “cold” dose structures.
- The MVCT images used for daily registration yield highly accurate density information that’s well-suited for treatment planning, while our robust dose isolation tools are designed to streamline the re-optimization process.
- Our precise dose computation algorithm helps ensure dose accuracy throughout the treatment process.
Quite simply, with Planned Adaptive, the original DVH can now remain intact from the first treatment to the last.
Beyond Planned Adaptive
In addition to the Planned Adaptive option, the TomoTherapy Hi·Art Version 2.2.1 software includes a number of Hi·Art System uptime and workflow enhancements. Contact your Sales Representative for more information.
