The TomoTherapy^® Hi·Art^® treatment system was designed for adaptive radiation therapy (ART). In fact, it was such a central goal of ours that it drove both critical design decisions and the naming of our platform: “Hi·Art” stands for Highly-Integrated Adaptive Radiation Therapy.

When we developed the Hi·Art treatment system, we knew that true ART required more than just accounting for anatomic movements by repositioning the patient. True ART demands clear analysis and precise adjustment of the treatment plan to account for changes over time.

Patients lose weight. Targets and organs shift and deform relative to the plan. Our Planned Adaptive software allows you to keep track of these sorts of changes—and lets you do something about it.

• Our single database stores information from both planning and delivery, making it easy to identify “hot” and “cold” dose regions, then use those regions to update the plan
• The CTrue^™ images used for daily registration yield the highly-accurate density information necessary for treatment planning, while our robust dose isolation tools are designed to streamline the re-optimization process
• Our precise dose computation algorithm helps ensure dosimetric accuracy throughout the treatment process
