Hands-on trainingThe TomoTherapy Institute of Learning is your resource for practical, in-depth and efficient training on the TomoTherapy® Hi·Art® radiation therapy platform. From hands-on training to distance learning to workstation job aids, a variety of practical learning solutions have been designed to meet your needs.

Training from the TomoTherapy Institute of Learning is divided into three main areas: Physics, Applications and Technical Training. There is a large hands-on classroom component to each of these training areas hosted in one of our two state-of-the-art Learning Centers, located in Madison, WI and (opened March 2008) in Antwerp, Belgium. Both Centers offer:

  • multi-functional meeting space
  • live simulations
  • hands-on practice with both the Planning and Operator Stations

* These classroom training programs are included with purchase and limited to two customer representatives for each course. Additional seats will be charged a separate fee.

If your facility has purchased the TomoDirect option, you must sign up for the 4-day Planning Station + TomoDirect course. If your facility has not purchased TomoDirect, you may choose to attend either the 3-day PS course or the 4-day PS + TomoDirect course.

On-site Training

TomoTherapy staff will work with you on-site to ensure the transition to treating patients with your new Hi·Art treatment system is seamless.

A Medical Physics representative will be on-site during the ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) of your Hi·Art treatment system.

Experienced Applications staff will also visit your facility for 6 days post-ATP to prepare your staff and for clinical support during the first patient treatments on the system.
